2024 BMW i7 M70 is bold, powerful and deceptively quick_Lover Car No1

Two-tone paint with a mᴀssive grille, 650 horsepower and supercar level performance figures: the new 2024 BMW i7 M70 certainly packs a punch.

Among other things, BMW wants to rebrand as a luxury EV maker and the new 2024 BMW i7 M70 is another step in that direction.

It’s big and bold, and just as fast as a supercar.

Let’s start with the headline: the i7 M70 is the most powerful and fastest electric vehicle ever made by BMW.

It is powered by two engines, one at the front and another one at the back, delivering 650 horsepower in total.

This makes the M70 more powerful than iX (610 hp).

And with a 0-60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds, it is also a lot faster as well.

BMW’s M division also gave the M70 new adaptive air suspension, a stiffer chᴀssis, and rear-wheel steering.

The i7 M70 is no racer and it’s not designed for the track, but BMW wants you to know you could give it a proper shakedown if you wanted to.

In terms of EV range, the i7 M70 can travel up to 295 miles (475 km) on a charge thanks to its 101.7-kWh battery.

In terms of visual cues, the i7 M70 looks a lot like its slightly less powerful brother, the xDrive60.

The mᴀssive grille is still there and it’s not going anywhere.

BMW has faced backlash in recent years for the grille but design chief Domagoj Dukec dismissed the criticism with a simple, cryptic statement.

“It is not our goal to please everyone,” he said.

As with other i7 variants, you can opt for 20-inch or 21-inch wheels, and you can also spec it with two-tone paint.

However, the new M70 has new side skirts, a new rear diffuser insert, and a redesigned curved display for BMW’s infotainment system.

Production is scheduled for late 2023 and pricing will be revealed in the summer.

The i7 xDrive60 has an MSRP of $127,000, so we expect the M70 to start at around $145,000-$150,000.
