I can literally spend hours drooling over pics of long elaborate manis on Instagram. But when it comes to what I actually get done at the nail salon, I’ve always preferred short nails. Okay, maybe the occasional medium length if I’m feeling risque (LOL). But for the most part, I’ve always opted for short nails.
It’s really nothing against long nails. Like I said, I can spend hours ogling pics of them online. I just prefer the practicality and comfort of short nails. I like not having to worry about breaking one while I shampoo my hair or inadvertently scratching my toddler as her tries to escape a diaper change.
I’m also partial to short nails because they give off a quiet confident vibe which is totally my thing. (The introvert in me perhaps?) And with short nails, I don’t feel like I’ve ever had to sacrifice esthetics for practicality. They can be just as beautiful as long nails and this post is here to prove it.
