Mariam Petrosyan, 26, and Taron Petrosyan, 28, from Yerevan, Armenia, eagerly awaited the arrival of their son, Artyom Petrosyan. However, their joy was tinged with concern when it was discovered that Artyom was born with a rare birthmark nevus covering eighty percent of his body, comprising dark, elevated, oval skin regions.
Despite the challenges, Mariam and Taron embraced their son with unwavering love and determination.
When doctors suggested the possibility of abandoning Artyom at the hospital due to his condition, the devoted parents immediately dismissed the idea.
Artyom's condition was exceptional, with doctors also detecting spina bifida, which added further complexities to his health. His parents were told that his life expectancy was uncertain due to an increased risk of skin cancer, and it was uncertain if he would ever open his eyes.
Despite the uncertainties, the moment Artyom's name was called, he showed signs of awakening, proving his resilience.
Mariam's other children, Narek, age 3, and Artur, age 2, showed curiosity about their younger brother but quickly became protective and loving.
Artyom occasionally attracted curious glances from others, but many saw him as a precious gift from God. His nevus birthmark was rare, covering a significant portion of his body, making him stand out among others.
However, to those who encountered him, he was nothing less than a divine blessing.
