Tender Twins Embrace: Heartwarming First Bath Captures Internet's Attention

A heartwarming video of newborn twins sharing their first bath together has taken the internet by storm. Uploaded to YouTube by Paris-based midwife Sonia Rochel, the two-minute 50-second clip showcases "The Thalasso Baby Spa," a small bath tub and shower unit designed by Ms. Rochel to replicate the sensation of being in the womb. The touching footage features the siblings embracing each other during the bath, holding on to each other as if no force should ever separate them.

In the video, the babies appear at peace as the nurse carefully cradles and supports their tiny bodies in the water. Delicate water showers gently fall on their foreheads and eyes, while their noses and mouths remain above the surface, allowing them to breathe comfortably. Toward the end, the infants are gently scooped out of the bath, wrapped in towels, and placed on a mat to dry.

According to Ms. Rochel, the twins experienced this unique bathing method just a few days after their birth at the maternity clinic. Now, at around one-month-old, their reaction to the water continues to captivate viewers. The technique, inspired by Ms. Rochel's own experience with water on her face during a shower, mimics the comforting sensation of the womb, making the babies move as they did before birth.

"The babies' amazing response to the water is always beautiful to see," said Ms. Rochel, a grandmother of six, who has previously bathed twins together with similarly heartwarming outcomes. The Thalasso Baby Bath offers a tender and relaxing experience, but Sonia advises parents not to attempt this technique at home.
