"At 11 months old, little Monty Dines, the first baby of Sarah Dines and son of Montague, weighs an impressive 13 kg. Born as a new𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧, Monty was already a hefty 5 kg, much larger than an average three-month-old baby. He quickly outgrew newborn clothes and is now comfortably wearing clothes meant for children aged two to three.
Sarah, a teacher from Broadstone, Dorset, initially planned for a water 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 at home without pain relief. However, due to the size of her baby, she eventually had to undergo a C-section.
When Monty was born, everyone present was astonished by his size, leading to laughter. "He looked ridiculous because he was so big," Sarah, now 35 years old, recalls. "The little towel they wrapped him in just didn't fit, and none of the clothes I had bought for him before his birth were suitable. Even the hat they gave him at the hospital was too small."
As Monty grew older, he continued to surpass typical size expectations for his age. Sarah's sister had to buy diapers that could accommodate his size. Sarah and her husband, Elliot, are both of average height (180 cm and 183 cm, respectively), but Monty's extraordinary size remains a mystery. Medical tests ruled out gestational diabetes as a cause for his significant birth weight.
