Michael Jordan just added a $3.5m hypercar to his collection_Lover Car No1

This isn’t Michael Jordan’s first hypercar – that тιтle belongs to his Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir – but it’s certainly the fastest machine he’s owned to date.

It’s hard to believe it’s been two decades since Michael Jordan retired from the NBA.

Nowadays, he keeps himself busy as a businessman, owning both an NBA and NASCAR team, and adding to his ever-growing car collection.

Gearheads mightn’t be surprised to hear that the star recently splashed $3,500,000 on a new hypercar, but will be more surprised as to what it actually is.

The Former No. 23 Chicago Bulls player has added a Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster to his notorious garage.

If you’re wondering why you’ve never heard of the hypercar before, the truth is nobody has –  it’s brand new.

The automaker’s founder, John Hennessey even personally delivered the open-top speed demon to Jordan at his Grove XXIII residence.

The former citrus grove in Flroida provided the perfect backdrop for a quick picture of Hennessey and Jordan with his new toy.

Hennessey’s Venom F5 originally made headlines for its ambition to become the fastest production car in the world, with a projected top speed of over 311 mph (500km/h).

In January this year, the Texan builder added a third, downforce-focused track version to the Venom F5 Coupe and its F5 Roadster derivative, namely the Venom F5 Revolution Coupe.

All three are powered by a twin-turbo V8 with 1,817 horsepower and 1,193 lb-ft of torque.

With Jordan’s Venom F5 clearly mixing an open top with thenkind of aero present on the said track spec, the Venom F5 Revolution Roadster was born.

In fact, John Hennessey said it was “an honor to build a special F5 for a special friend.”

Seen as he’s 6’6” (198cm) tall, it’s little wonder Jordan opted for a roadster, but whether we’ll ever see the star hooning the 8,500 rpm-capable machine with the top on is another thing.

The Venom F5 Revolution is priced at $2,700,000 – that’s for the 24 units of the Coupe, so it wouldn’t surprise us to see the Venom F5 Revolution Roadtser pᴀssing the $3 million mark.

Exclusivity plays an important role here, even though it would be difficult to believe we’re dealing with a one-off.
