Some studies have proven that your dog has the ability to recognize who is a good person and a bad person.
The research team led by Akiko Takaoka of Kyoto University conducted the experiment, first of all they wanted to determine how well dogs can recognize lies.
For dogs, pointing is meaningful to them, so survey participants will point their fingers at the tray of food.
First experiment
The first time when pointing at the food, the tray had real food. The second time pointed to the same tray but no food. At this point, the owner has lost the meaning of that command. By the third time, even though there was real food in the tray, the dogs didn't trust their owners anymore, unless they brought the food near them. This shows that dogs rely on old experiences to decide whether to put their trust in someone, even if it is their owner.
Second experiment
Scene 1: the owner will pretend that he can't open the food box and ask 2 other people to open it, one of them agrees and the other just watches.
Scene 2: Also in case the owner cannot open the food box, there are 2 other people who will not agree to help but one person shows an unpleasant attitude to refuse, the other just stands and watches.
After these 2 scenes, the 4 people participating in the challenge earlier will get to know the dog, it tends to be nice to the person who helps its owner and also to the bystanders, but completely ignores the person who showed the attitude. rude to refuse.
"Dogs have a more subtle observational ability than we thought," said Takaoka. "Their intelligence has been selectively evolved through historical periods of coexistence with humans."
Not only through behavior, dogs also recognize bad people by sniffing out the chemical changes a person emits when they are angry or have bad intentions. In addition to sniffing banned substances, explosives, ... dogs also know that their owner is pregnant by hormonal changes in the body, they even detect seizures and recognize cancer. So the chemicals swirling in the bad guy's brain can't escape your dog's delicate nose.
Another theory is that dogs are very good at judging people by body gestures, while humans are not easily recognized because they have spoken language.
Like how easy it is for you to believe the sweet words of a new acquaintance without trusting your own hunches and often thinking: "He probably isn't that bad". Dogs of course cannot understand those words, they will just stand still and observe the gestures and chemical odors that are secreted from the body of that evil object and then come to the conclusion: "This person is the bad guy". They will let you know immediately by getting your attention or driving the bad guy away by barking and attacking the person.
